Create a Monitoring API V2 application on the SolarEdge developer portal and send the API key to Eniris.
Connect your SolarEdge installation to Eniris through the V2 Monitoring API. You create a Monitoring API application on the SolarEdge developer portal and send its API key to Eniris through our support portal. The whole process takes about 10 minutes.
A reliable API connection combines the correct authorization method, an explicitly limited installation scope and a verified first retrieval.
Connection type: API and platform connection.
Make sure you have:
Go to developer.solaredge.com and log in with your SolarEdge account. After logging in, you land on the dashboard.
Go to Applications and click Create application in the top right corner. Fill in the form:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Application name | Any name you like, for example EnirisAPIConnection |
| Description | API key for Eniris |
| API service | Monitoring API |
Then click Next.
Pick My fleet whenever it is available; it is the quickest option because no one else needs to approve it.
| Option | When to use it | What you need to do |
|---|---|---|
| My fleet | The sites are in your own SolarEdge account | Nothing extra |
| External fleet | The sites belong to another SolarEdge account, for example an installer or site owner | Send the email or share link that SolarEdge generates to the fleet owner, who must approve access |
For Access duration, choose the longest period available. A shorter period means the connection to Eniris stops when access expires and the setup has to be repeated.
Once the application is created, open it and go to Credentials. Copy the API key; you send it to Eniris in the next step.
If you chose an external fleet, wait until the fleet owner has approved access before sending the key.
Important: treat the API key like a password. Never paste it directly into an email, ticket or chat message.
Share the key through a one-time secret link and submit that link in a support ticket, so the key is never stored in plain text.
The link can be opened only once, so the key cannot be read by anyone after Eniris has retrieved it.
Copy this into the ticket. Leave the allow and deny lists empty unless you want to limit which installations are collected.
Subject: Upgrading SolarEdge to V2
Hello Eniris team,
We would like to upgrade our SolarEdge connection to the V2 API.
API key (one-time secret link): <paste link here>
Installation allow list:
Installation deny list:
Run interval (hours): 1
Data resolution: QUARTER_HOUR
Kind regards,
| Parameter | What it does | What to fill in | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| API key | Gives Eniris access to your SolarEdge data | The one-time secret link from Step 5 | Required |
| Installation allow list | Collects only the installations you list | Leave empty for all installations, or list the installation IDs, for example 1148616, 1148617 | Empty |
| Installation deny list | Skips the installations you list | Leave empty to skip none, or list the installation IDs you want skipped | Empty |
| Run interval (hours) | How often data is collected. Each run picks up everything since the previous one, including anything missed | A whole number of hours | 1 |
| Data resolution | How detailed the collected data is | QUARTER_HOUR for a value every 15 minutes, or HOUR for one every hour | QUARTER_HOUR |
Finding an installation ID: open the installation in the SolarEdge monitoring portal and look at the address bar. The number after siteId= is the installation ID.
https://monitoring.solaredge.com/one#/commercial/analysis?siteId=xxxxx
Installations already on the Eniris platform keep their current status. New installations are added as inactive, and no data is collected for them until you activate them.
A new installation on your SolarEdge account appears in Eniris within 24 hours, because the site list is refreshed once a day.
To start collecting data, go to Settings → Installations without follow up in the Eniris portal and click Activate for each installation you want to follow up.
Activation works the other way round too. To stop collecting data for an installation you no longer need, open that installation, go to Settings and unmark Show installation.
Each data collection costs API credits, and your SolarEdge plan sets how many credits you have per month. Check the expected usage below against your tier before you choose a run interval.
Find the row that matches your equipment and the number of installations. The figures are an estimate of the total credits used per month.
