Required information, setup and verification for Solarman (API).
Eniris can read your plant and device data through the official SOLARMAN Open API. You ask Solarman for API access once. After that you send four values to Eniris through our support portal.
A reliable API connection combines the correct authorization method, an explicitly limited installation scope and a verified first retrieval.
Connection type: API and platform connection.
Make sure you have:
globalapi.solarmanpv.com). Accounts on the Chinese data centre cannot be read by this connector.API access is not enabled by default. Send your request to your Solarman business contact or to the service address service@solarmanpv.com. Solarman wants to know who you are, what kind of customer you are and what you will use the API for. Their Open API docs describes the procedure. You can also open a ticket at the SOLARMAN Help Centre.
Use the template below. Replace the values between angle brackets and delete what does not apply.
Subject: OpenAPI activation request for <your Solarman account email>
Dear Solarman support,
I would like to activate the OpenAPI for my SOLARMAN account.
Solarman account (email): <your Solarman login>
Platform: SOLARMAN Smart / SOLARMAN Business
Data centre: International
Customer type: individual / equipment manufacturer / installation and
maintenance provider / distributor / investor
Number of plants: <number>
Reason: my PV installation is monitored by Eniris (https://eniris.com).
Eniris reads my plant and device data through the SOLARMAN OpenAPI for
monitoring and reporting.
Please send the APP ID and APP SECRET to this email address.
Kind regards,
<name>, <company>
Solarman registers you as a developer and creates the application. The application then goes through a review. Solarman may ask you to confirm the API Developer Agreement by email to customerservice@solarmanpv.com before the activation continues.
When the review is done, Solarman activates the API and sends the APP ID and APP SECRET to your email address.
You do not have to create an access token or a refresh token yourself. Eniris takes care of that with the values below.
| Information / setting | What is needed |
|---|---|
Application ID (APP_ID) | Issued by Solarman after API activation. |
Application secret (APP_SECRET) | Secret that belongs to that APP ID. |
Account email (EMAIL) | The Solarman account that sees the plants. |
Account password (PASSWORD) | Password of that account. |
| Plant scope | The plants Eniris may read. |
Use a separate Solarman account for Eniris where you can and share the relevant plants with it. That is safer than handing over a personal or administrator login.
Important: treat the APP SECRET and the account password like passwords. Never paste them into an email, a ticket or a chat message.
Share the secret and the password through a one-time secret link and put that link in a support ticket. Nothing is then stored in plain text.
The link can be opened only once. After Eniris has read it, nobody else can.
Copy this into the ticket. Leave the plant list empty if you want all plants.
Subject: New Solarman (API) connection
Hello Eniris team,
We would like to connect our Solarman installation through the official
Solarman Open API.
APP ID: <your APP ID>
Solarman account (email): <your Solarman login>
APP SECRET and password (one-time secret link): <paste link here>
Plants to collect:
Kind regards,
:::caution Changing your Solarman password stops the data collection Solarman blocks the API access as soon as the account password is reset or changed. The same happens when the role of the account changes. The connection then stops collecting and no data is stored for that period. Open a ticket before you change the password and send the new credentials through a new one-time secret link. We can then update the connection the same day. :::
What we collect depends on your equipment.
| Level | What is collected |
|---|---|
| Plant | Name, installed capacity, time zone, coordinates, address, commissioning date, generation power and production |
| Inverter | Total AC power, total yield, phase voltages, line voltages and phase currents |
| Hybrid inverter | Total AC power, imported and exported energy |
| Battery | State of charge, state of health, charged and discharged energy, power, current and voltage |
| Optimiser | Voltage, current, power and yield per optimiser |
| Grid meter | Total and per-phase power, reactive power, line voltages, imported and exported energy |
| Consumption meter | Imported energy and power |
| Alarms | Device alerts, linked to the device they belong to |
Solarman decides the conditions for API access and can charge for it. That depends on your platform, the number of plants and how many calls are needed. Ask Solarman what applies to your account when you request activation. Their API access conditions page has the current overview.
