APsystems monitoring

For the local connection described here, a controller communicates with the APsystems equipment at the installation. This is different from connecting a manufacturer cloud account.

Choose the local connection

The APsystems device guide lists APstorage and ECU and shows their available Ethernet and RS485 connections.

Set up the installation

1. Identify whether the installation uses APstorage or an ECU.
2. Open the APsystems device guide and select the connection appropriate for that equipment.
3. Follow the Ethernet or RS485 wiring guidelines.
4. After commissioning, open the installation in SmartgridX and check that the connected equipment reports measurements.

This guide covers the local controller route. It does not describe an APsystems cloud-account connection. Monitoring and curtailment are separate capabilities; the device guide identifies the control capabilities for each listed device.
